Sazerac Rye Whiskey

Sazerac Rye 18-year-old is a very successful brand of bourbon whiskey distilled and distributed by the Buffalo Trace Distillery as part of their ‘Antique Collection’ in Frankfort, Kentucky USA. Named in tribute of the famed Sazerac Coffee House founded in 1850 on Exchange Alley in New Orleans, Louisiana that soon gained fame as the home of ‘America’s First Cocktail’ known as the Sazerac. Local customers were served toddies made with Rye Whiskey and Peychaud’s Bitters and the Sazerac was born. This is the whiskey that started it all.
