WhistlePig Whiskey

WhistlePig Whiskey is located on one of the oldest farms in Vermont, USA that was once known as the hamlet ‘Shaksboro’ in the early 19th century. The farm remained in operation until 2006 when it was purchased and renamed by WhistlePig’s founder Raj Peter Bhakta in 2007. After a few years of deep consideration, the new owners committed themselves to crafting the world’s finest and most interesting Rye Whiskeys. With help from the late Master Distiller Dave Pickerell (Makers Mark & Blackened), they discovered and purchased an incredible stock of 10-year-old blending Whiskey in Canada that was being profoundly misused. That initial stock is what kicked off Whistlepig’s grand adventure.

Although the beginnings of Whistlepig saw them use a product of Canada that was aged and bottled in Vermont, they still purchase new-make spirit from other regions, but also have a running distillery and still located in a 150-year-old renovated dairy barn. WhistlePig’s distillery is the culmination of five diligent years, opened in 2015, they distil 7 days a week in their unique copper pot still designed by world-renowned Master Distiller Dave Pickerell.
