There’s something special happening at Capertee, a small town 45km north of Lithgow, New South Wales. It’s where Craig Field, affectionately known as ‘Crafty’ diligently plies his trade in his custom-built shed distilling and maturing his very own Australian Single Malt Whisky. Creative and full of life, Crafty has some very unique casks quietly ageing his spirit with his first independent bottling, ‘BLAK SOUL BEAST’ 2-year-old already a multi-award winner.

Craft works distillery has a two-arm approach to the whisky industry. One for independent bottlings and the other for distilling. Now, fast-forward approx. 8 years since we wrote the above description, and Crafty is firing on all cylinders with over 30 releases to date with a swathe being original bottlings with multi-award-winners to boot!
