From its hillside home at Deveron in the Scottish Highlands, the GlenDronach Distillery has stood the test of time creating the finest richly sherried single malts for nearly 200 years. Glendronach was founded in 1826 by James Allardice (also spelt Allardes and Allardyce).
The distillery draws its water from the Dronac burn within the distillery grounds. It has its own floor maltings and two wash stills in addition to two spirit stills. In mid-2016, the distillery was purchased by the Brown-Forman Corporation in a deal that included the BenRiach and Glenglassaugh distilleries.

Today, Glendronach is proud to be the only distillery in all of Scotland that can be honestly classified as a true ‘Sherry Maturation’ facility where 100% of the whisky sold enjoys its underlying maturation entirely in sherry casks.
