Description:
This third release in Angel’s Envy Cellar Collection is a blend of bourbons, finished in carefully selected Madeira casks. Highly limited, the expression was only available at the distillery for a limited time starting June 6th 2021, and could also only be purchased via pre-sale through a lottery system when between May 21 and May 25, ANGEL’S ENVY 500 Main members could enter to win the chance to purchase the release ahead of public sale. A total of 600 bottles were reserved for the 500 Main lotter members.
The Distillery comments;
“In 2015, the Henderson family visited the island of Madeira in search of their next extraordinary finishing barrels. Only after sampling more than 30 varieties of Madeira wine did they find the perfect cask for our third Cellar Collection release.
Madeira wine’s unique, centuries-old aging process embodies true craftsmanship. The casks are heated during the aging process to allow for the oxidation that creates the wine’s truly remarkable flavour and colour profile. With both the dryness of fine sherry and the richness of tawny port, this rare finish is truly worthy of the Angel’s Envy Cellar Collection.”
