We just received the elusive, inaugural release of Blackened Whiskey Batch 081 that were the first bottles to fly off the shelves in the USA as the very first release of Blackened Whiskey. The whiskey was released in 18 batches from #81 to #99 with this first batch celebrating the year Metallica formed in 1981.

After the whiskeys have been combined in the black brandy casks for finishing, they’re jolted back to life by the unmistakable, earth-shattering music of Metallica. Using the proprietary sonic-enhancement system BLACK NOISE™, the whiskey is pummelled by low hertz sound waves so concentrated that it actually intensifies the molecular interaction of the whiskey causing it to seep deeper into the barrel, where it picks up additional wood flavour characteristics.

Each batch of 5000 bottles will come with an accompanying playlist on Spotify and Apple Music. For this inaugural release, Metallica selected and arranged the following song list to pummel the barrels with:
