Think ripe apples, minty spice, maple pancakes and earthy walnuts, all balanced by beautiful golden oak, with orchard fruit sweetness and some old leather on the finish.

Description:
Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond 8 Year Old Bourbon – Fall 2023 Release
Crafted at the renowned Heaven Hill Distillery, this 8 Year Old, Old Fitzgerald Bourbon is the youngest release in the coveted decanter series, with only one other 8-year-old released back in Spring 2021. Bottled at 100 proof and aged in new charred oak barrels, it offers a bold, complex profile with youthful spice, minty undertones, and signature wheated sweetness. Unlike traditional rye-based bourbons, Old Fitzgerald swaps rye for wheat, delivering a complex, yet mellow character.
Part of the biannual Bottled-in-Bond series, each Spring and Fall release pays homage to the historic Old Fitzgerald brand with its vintage-inspired decanter and commitment to Bottled-in-Bond standards.
Interesting fact.
The unique bottle features a vintage-inspired label with an angled key, representing the brand’s slogan since the 1940’s: “Your key to hospitality.” The front label also displays Kentucky’s state seal and a prominent brand banner replicating a pre-Prohibition label.
About Old Fitzgerald
The Old Fitzgerald line is well-known for its distilling pedigree, as the brand was first registered in 1884 and was eventually sold to “Pappy” Van Winkle during Prohibition. In 1999, Heaven Hill bought the brand and began distilling it at Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, KY.
