750ml: 43%alc
South African Release
Region: Lynchburg, Tennessee. USA
Bottler: Jack Daniels
We’ve managed to secure a small consignment of Gentleman Jack South African release which is rare because South Africa is the only country in the world where Jack Daniels must be imported at 43% alcohol and at 750ml so Jack Daniels produces Gentleman Jack bottles at this proof only for the South African market and nowhere else. The rest of the world receives Gentleman Jack at the standard 40%alc.
You will also note that the label is adorned with the characters B421. The B stands for ‘import’ and 421 is the code designated for Jack Daniels. Since its release in 1988, the shape of the bottle has changed several times however, the recipe stays the same. Gentleman Jack is charcoal mellowed twice, once before and once after it is aged in charred oak barrels giving it the extra-smooth, satisfying taste.
