Jack Daniels Barrel Strength Chapter 2 ‘Crafting Charcoal’ 700ml 64.5%

Our Tasting Notes
The Nose opens to a vista of aromas; think maple syrup, cereal sweetness and cinnamon-toast wrapped in a cocoon of sticky toffee and banana skins from the virgin oak barrel, all resting on a canvas of charred wood and subtle smoke. The Palate offers immediate toasted oak, old leather and drying wood spice before the sweet notes of banoffee pie and maple-roasted almonds coat the mouth in a chewy landscape of rich syrup and hot spice. The Finish is long and lavish delivering beautiful doses of brown sugar, toasted oak, soft vanilla and cracked pepper with exquisite hints of blood orange and sweet corn at the very end.

Our Final Thoughts
With the high ABV @ 64.5%, instead of adding water (which is your choice of course), we recommend you pour yourself a dram and leave it in the glass for 30 minutes or so to settle prior to drinking. It will open up the whiskey to a flavourful and balanced, yet complex and quite profound tasting experience. The whiskey is a real celebration of the Lincoln County Process and the balanced, subtleties of flavour present in our favourite, top shelf Tennessee whiskey. Enjoy!
