The Van Winkle Family Reserve 16 and 17-year-old releases were purportedly bottled using whiskey from the Boone distillery which was also used for the first bottles of Pappy Van Winkle 20-year-old. Ranked one of the best bourbon whiskeys in the world, this 16yo Van Winkle Family Reserve was barrelled in 1974 and then bottled in 1990 and exclusively exported to the Japanese market. It’s one hell of a rare unicorn and the only bottle of its type currently for sale in Australia.

Please note: Very fine crack-line on the back of the red drip-wax seal on the bottle which is quite typical for these older releases.
