William Larue Weller developed his original bourbon recipe with wheat, rather than rye and this non-chill filtered wheated bourbon forgoes chill filtration to preserve all the naturally occurring residual oils and flavours that occur during the distillation and aging process. A hugely popular whiskey, honouring the man who made wheated bourbon legendary.
First released in 2019, this bourbon is often confused with being barrel strength because of its name, however, ‘Full Proof’ refers to the entry proof that Buffalo Trace fills its wheated bourbon barrels (at 114 proof). Secondary market prices for this bad boy have exploded in the past 2 years and we’re keeping our price as low as possible in the hope that you enjoy the whiskey for what’s in the bottle, instead of an easy flip!

Official tasting notes.
Having a nose of vanilla, dark cherries and caramel. On the palate, there is a balance of caramel and toasted oak. The finish is said to be long, with notes of crème brûlée and chocolate.
