Nose: A complex mingling of deep caramel, brown sugar and dark chocolate, top a layer of cheery jam and nutty crumbles dusted with wood spice
Palate: Intense smoked almond and malt character sweetness with cherry pie filling and a touch of caramel.
Finish: Long smoked almons notes fade into a rich cherry fruit jam.

The 2017 Master’s Collection Cherry Wood Smoked Barley bourbon uses malted barley that has been exposed to wood smoke during its kilning process. This imports a rich, smoked almond note to the mash that carries over into the distillation process. With 30% malt content, the Cherry Wood Smoked Barley mash bill has a greater amount of malt than traditional bourbon.
The result is a rich, fully matured Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey that pays tribute to the craftsmanship and vision of past distillery industry leaders Oscar Pepper and James Crow, who once distilled on the current day site of the Woodford Reserve Distillery.
The bottle comes in a robust, wrap-around gift box, that closes via magnetic clasps hidden in the design.
