Nose: Rich stewed fruit and raisins up front, give way to dark chocolate and apricot. A faint whiff of smoke on the nose, with rich notes of digestive biscuits.
Palate: Raisins and stewed prunes on the front palette give way to notes of cocoa pops. Dried apricot comes through late, with a tingling spice of black pepper.
Finish: The taste of dark fruit, along with some rich demerara sugar. A lingering note of clove and black pepper, along with a faint smokey note.

Description:
From the Adelaide Hills Distillery comes this Muscat finished whiskey under their 78 Degrees label, named after the boiling point of alcohol. The Muscat cask chosen originating from the Rutherglen area of northern Victoria where Muscat is produced from late harvest picked grapes. The Muscat is then filled into oak casks, where it spends the next 5 to 20+ years maturing in the hot Australian climate where the casks bake in the Aussie sun, creating a rich and delicious fortified wine. Once decanted, the empty casks are still rich in the character of the Muscat that soaked into the oak over all those years.
The Muscat casks are then filled with 78 Degrees new-make spirit crafted using a base of local, single paddock, unmalted barley, along with 11 speciality malts, resulting in a complex, biscuity Australian whisky.
