Description:
High Seas is the end point of a 12-year labour of love for the team at Bakery Hill that began when a full American Oak hogshead filled with whisky was loaded on to a boat and set sail from the very north of Scotland.
The barrel traversed halfway around the globe on the chaotic high seas before arriving at its Bayswater home where it was decanted and left to settle before being filled with signature Bakery Hill peated single malt Whisky. Eleven peaceful years of maturation in a single 220L American oak hogshead would pass before the team at Bakery Hill found the sweet spot for bottling.
The barrel had previously held sherry finished whisky from a ‘un-named’ Scottish distillery and with a yield of only 250 bottles, Andrew and David Baker have sent a generous allocation our way for loyal supporters to enjoy as well.
