‘Islay Cask #2’ represents Battery Point Distillery’s second offering in the series, aged in casks sourced from two legendary Scottish Single Malt Whisky producers: Laphroaig and Lagavulin. The expression is complemented by a touch of second-fill Port and Sherry casks to create perfect harmony.
The distinctive smoky notes are derived entirely from the cask influence rather than peated grain. These special barrels impart an additional dimension of complexity that develops beautifully with extended maturation time.”

Pale blonde in colour, it has notes of nougat, manuka honey, peanut brittle and some smokey bacon undertones on the nose. Werther’s original caramels, maple syrup, and pine needles on the palate, finishing with peat smoked almonds – it’s dusty, sweet and a little smokey.
