Description:
From the progressive mind of Peter Bignell comes his second batch of “Wholly Shit” – A rye whisky smoked with sheep’s manure. In all his self-sustaining glory, Mr Bignell has taken the art of recycling and turned it up to a blistering 11! His Belgrove sheep eat the spent distillery grain and then their dry dung is burned instead of peat to produce this smoky rye-malt of feculent proportions.
The whisky was matured for two and a half years in 2 x 100 litre Oak barrels before being married together and bottled on the 17th of May 2022, non-chill-filtered at 46% ABV.
The first batch was released before the pandemic and word of the one-of-a-kind whisky made its way to British Chef, Gordon Ramsay who took his film crew to Tasmania to film an episode of his docuseries UNCHARTED (Season 2, Episode 1) where Peter talks him through the process of whisky making while they shovelled dung together that was used for this very release.

Went on a whisky tour in tassie. tried this at one of the distilleries, then spent the next 3 days trying to track it down. Hands down a 11/10 for any drinker. added point for the story behind it
