Producer’s Tasting Notes
The whisky displays a lighter more golden hue than previous releases.
Aromas of sweet fruit and caramel plus the obligatory peat smoke are evident. With a drop of water, the whisky opens up to reveal ripe fruit and some grassy malt. This single cask whisky was produced using predominantly heavily peated (up to 50ppm phenols) malted barley giving distinct phenolic notes of tar, and peat smoke balanced by sweet fruit flavours from the Australian tawny cask. It finishes long with sweet fruit, smoke, tar, spice, and grassy malt.
