Matured for almost 2.5 years in a 100L sherry cask, this is the Black Gate distillery’s 3rd release of peated single malt whisky. Bottled at 57.6%alc, all the big Black Gate flavours are ever-present resulting in a rich and smokey single malt that will surely be a sell-out.

The scientific method:
Make an observation – Black Gate Peated Sherry is incredible.
Ask a question – Is this a one off…or can it be replicated?
Form a hypothesis, or testable explanation – Black Gate know what they are doing and make World Class Whisky.
Make a prediction based on the hypothesis – the #BG057 will be as good as the BG#054.
Test the prediction – In the interests of science of course, I tried another bottle.
I came back to swing the black gate. I can report that the BG057 is just as amazing as the previous Peated Sherry experiments.
The scientific consensus is that the Black Gate is worth a swing.
The other cornerstone of science is that a claim can be falsified. I am open to a little peer review, so the balls in your court. Game on!
