Bottling Notes
Affectionately known as the 8-ball expression, Black Gate Cask 008 Single Malt Whisky is the 7th release from the Black Gate Distillery and was the last bottle release for 2016. The whisky was distilled from malted and unpeated barley and then aged for 3 years in a Single Barrel, 100 litre ex-sherry cask.
The 100L cask yielded about 80L of whisky after the angels took their share, and then once diluted down to 50% ABV, two hundred and eleven 500ml bottles were filled.
Only this one bottle to sell that came from a private collection.
