This Coachman’s Glove whisky pays homage to a bygone era when traditional horse drawn carriages where often only reserved for those who could afford a private driver. The coachman was the embodiment of a classy chauffeur, with a brass buttoned vest and shined leather boots, welcoming passengers on board with an outstretched hand. Hence the Dark Valley’s ‘Coachman’s Glove’ is a whisky that begins with a velvety welcome to the journey ahead.
To create this whisky, Dark Valley sourced ‘new make’ from the Redlands Distillery in Tasmania that was distilled in June 2016, and then matured the spirit in a 20L Sherry cask at their custom build facility in Malbina, Tasmania. Once the whisky was deemed ready, it was then bottled at a cask strength of 65.7%alc yielding 28 bottles.
