Official tasting notes.
Rich red fruits, chocolate and mandarin citrus, with a robust pencil box oak hit. On the palate, delicious viscosity, with a carry through of chocolate sauce on savoury barbecued meats from the peated barley and a deep syrup red fruit at the fore.

Description:
Dark Valley is an independent bottler created by the eclectic brain of our mate, Alex Moores who trusts us as the only retailer to sell his small batch expressions outside of his website.
Aged in an ex-port cask for just over 2 years and bottled at a cask strength, this small batch release is dedicated to Law and Order, no matter how miss-guided it was once known to be. 😉
Dark Valley comments:
“Tasmania’s history is plagued by the dreaded temperance of powerful people, most notably Governor John Franklin who presided over the Distillation Prohibition Act of 1839. Thankfully these dark days are long behind the distillers of Tasmania, with a meteoric rise in the presence of distilleries and production of delicious new make spirit. A whisky not to turn you to swine, but a much better use of barley than pig feed.”
