In association with Dark Valley, we’re thrilled to be the exclusive retailer of their whisky on the Australian mainland as we do our part to ensure that bottles of their finest product end up in as many glasses across the country as possible.
This offering from Dark Valley is called Prisoner’s Chain and pays homage to the early Tasmanian whisky distillers and their illicit stills who managed to evade Governor Franklin in Tasmania and avoid the taxman. By side-stepping the ‘Prisoner’s Chain’, they paved the way for the modern day makers and drinkers to profit from their crimes. 😉 A whisky to appreciate while being thankful one is free.
To create this wee gem, Dark Valley sourced ‘new make’ from the Lark Distillery that was distilled in June 2016 and matured the spirit in a 20L Port cask at their custom build facility in Malbina, Tasmania. Once the whisky was deemed ready, it was then bottled at a cask strength of 63.6% alc yielding 38 bottles.
