In association with Dark Valley, we’re thrilled to be the exclusive retailer of their whisky on the Australian mainland as we do our part to ensure that bottles of their finest product end up in as many glasses across the country as possible.
Shepherd’s Crook is a Tasmanian Independent Bottling of Redlands Spirit dedicated to all the Shepherds around Tasmania who tend and care for their sheep to ensure they produce fresh milk and cheese, warm clothes and sustenance for our benefit, much like a whisky that is coddled in the cask, protected and then carefully guided from cask to bottle for our enjoyment.
To create this whisky, Dark Valley sourced ‘new make’ from the now closed Redlands Distillery that was distilled in June 2016 and matured the spirit in a 20L Port cask for 794 days at their custom build facility in Malbina, Tasmania. Once the whisky was deemed ready, it was then bottled at a cask strength of 65.5% alc yielding 31 bottles.
