Producer’s tasting notes.
Nose: Sweet biscuit crumb and slightly burnt marshmallows, creamy vanilla, juicy fruits, baked apple streusel cake, toffee, ginger, chicory and light pantry spice.
Palate: A bold opening of sweet toffee and warm butterscotch balanced with mature oak, a touch of leather and spice. Rich caramel and buttermilk pancakes, vanilla ice cream and maple syrup with passion fruit candy. A harmony of sweetness and spice across the palate with subtle oak.
Finish: A lingering and satisfying finish with alternating peaks of sweet spices and peppery delights met with celery and cacao nibs.

Despite the cancellation of DARK MOFO due to COVID-19, the team at Devils Distillery still forged ahead with their 2020 release that would have been available at Winter Feast. (hence the cheeky line across the title on the front label)
The limited expression spent 3-years in small American oak ex-bourbon casks, before being transferred to finish for 18 months in a 200L ex-bourbon cask used to mature maple syrup.

Made for the Winter Feast – a perfect dram to have when you’re under house arrest.
