Nose: Marmalade and baked pastries, red berries, vanilla, cinnamon and wafts of sweet malty smoke.
Palate: The rich marmalade presents alongside a malt backbone. Baked cereals and brandy snaps with custard, fill the mid palate with savoury charred honey notes.
Finish: The sweet and savoury elements subside to leave honeycomb and pantry spices to linger.

Description:
For the past twelve months, the Devil’s Distillery/Hobart Whisky been working on a barrel aged beer program for pilot batch brewing with the intention to make good beer, that also complimented their style of great whisky.
This whisky was matured in an American oak ex-bourbon cask for three and a half years before finishing in a 20L ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry cask that has been barrel-aging a Smoky Rye Red Ale, brewed by head distiller, Ben James.
