Like the deadly Western Australian snake from which it earned its name, Dugite Whiskey is bitey yet unassuming. The newest blended whiskey to come out of Great Southern’s Porongurup distillery, it has been individually barrelled in new American Oak casks, and second fill bourbon barrels, before being blended after maturation. Humble yet bold, and at 40% ABV, Dugite Whiskey is a great introduction to blended whisky for newcomers and will also appeal to seasoned enthusiasts as an everyday Australian drinker.

The Distillery tells us:
“This blended whiskey is produced by skilfully combining a secret recipe of premium single malt whisky with mixed grain whiskey, before being aged in American oak barrels for a minimum of three years. Crafted at Great Southern’s Porongurup-based distillery, it’s hard to beat the quality of elements essential to whiskey that are found in the region – the water is pure, the air is warm and clean, the grain is rich. So naturally, it makes a welcoming home for the dugite snake”.
