This Fannys Bay Port Barrel Tasmanian whisky is the creation of Mathew and Julie Cooper who run a bespoke, family owned whisky distillery on the Northern coastal waters of Tasmania where the purest sea breezes’ assist them in making lively single malt whisky. The whisky has been aged in Australian Port barrel number 18 which only yielded 50 bottles so best get on to these beauty’s fast because once they’re gone – they’re gone for good!
NOSE: Toffee apples and citrus peel followed by a touch of vanilla. Fresh and youthful like the coastal breeze off Northern Tasmania where the whisky is made.
PALATE: Vibrant and fresh, grassy with more citrus fruits and warming spice.
FINISH: Medium with a touch of oak.
