Already sold out at the Distillery, this Heartwood @#$%^&*2 single malt whisky is the latest expression following on from their 1st release (@#$%^&*1) that was bottled in May 2017. The whisky is a Lark origin spirit and was matured in 2 x 200L bourbon casks. Owner and head distiller, Tim Duckett, was not satisfied with the whisky believing it needed more depth and character, so he married the 2 bourbon casks together and then finished all the whisky equally into 3 varying sherry casks.

This current Heartwood @#$%^&*2 expression was finished in a 200L first fill Oloroso cask with future releases (No. 3 & 4) been finished in a 100L Oloroso cask and a Pedro Ximenez cask respectively. Version 3 and 4 will be bottled and available within the next 6 months.

As Tim says: “It has been a trial to get this whisky up to a Heartwood standard involving 5 barrels, a big stick, lots of time and many comforting words”
