The Beagle 9’s DNA evolved from eight casks, five Tasmanian distilleries and the discovery of fire and smoke. The whisky’s front label is pure Mr H (owner and independent bottler of Heartwood), illustrating human evolution to the third last step of social distancing, the second last step of lock-down and the final step of freedom. (hopefully for a very, very long time) 😉

The Beagle range of Heartwood whiskies pay homage to Charles Darwin’s ship that was called ‘HMS Beagle’ and his voyage of discovery and the evolution of whisky. The Voyage of the Beagle is the title most commonly given to the book he wrote and published in 1839 bringing him considerable fame and respect.
