Description:
This expression from the House of Duckett see’s independent bottler, Tim, marry two Nant Sherry casks into a 50-year-old Seppeltsfield Tawny cask resulting in a more spirit forward whisky. The name of the expression, ‘Fed by the fuels of Malcontent & Disillusionment’ is a facetious jeer at the scandalous behaviour that saw the collapse of The Nant Distillery as we knew it over a decade ago.
Tim Duckett comments
“Hopefully, this will be one of the best Nant origin whiskies you will ever have. Due to the checkered history of this spirit, there are a few unknowns and the origin of the barrels is questionable. However, we have married 2 casks into a 50 yo Seppeltsfield Tawny cask. A Heartwood twist! The result is a more spirit driven whisky when compared to other Heartwood flavour bombs. Junior H and others are pressing Mr H for more spirit driven, distillery characteristic whiskies and fair enough. There is a place for both”
