Description:
This expression from the House of Duckett see’s independent bottler, Tim give Redlands new-make-spirit a double dose of Muscat maturation, resulting in a sticky, rich whisky that would make the perfect, after-dinner companion with a dark leafed cigar.
Tim Duckett comments
“Nothing Left to Chance’ is our second Heartwood release from muscat casks with a twist. Back in 2014 the original spirit was placed into a recoopered muscat cask from Rutherglen. It was not adequately charred. For the last 2.5 years it was placed into a heavily charred second muscat cask for the final stage of maturation. Result: Dessert in a glass……… The first Heartwood muscat release was called Shot in the Dark as it was our first muscat cask release, one of the first in Australia, and a risk, hence “Shot in the Dark from a Muscat barrel”. This second release is called “Nothing Left to Chance” as it was not a risk and we applied what we had learnt from previous whiskies. It has been crafted to within an inch of its life.”
