Heartwood ‘Shade of Night’ is the latest, cask strength single-malt whisky release from the mind of owner, Tim Duckett. The ‘new make’ spirit that Tim chose to mature in his hand-picked Oloroso Sherry cask comes from the Lark distillery which immediately pings our spidey senses that this whisky is going to be something very special. Coming in at a colossal 66.6%alc tells us that the Devil is definitely in the detail, but in a good way. ?

Heartwood releases rarely make it to physical or virtual liquor-shop shelves before they sell out as they’ve become highly collectable by a cult following of enthusiasts who appreciate the whisky magic made by the brand.
