Heartwood has released ‘Shot in the Dark’, the first muscat cask matured whisky filled with Lark origin, 100% peated new make. Owner and distiller Tim Duckett comments:
“It was a bit of a risk as it was (I believe) the first muscat cask filled in Australia (may be wrong) and it is from a muscat barrel”.

Heartwood releases rarely make it to physical or virtual liquor-shop shelves before they sell out as they’ve become highly collectable by a cult following of enthusiasts who appreciate the whisky magic made by the brand.
