The label is adorned by a banana, and for good reason too. This whisky is all bananas: Ripe and thick Californian bananas. The nose and palate are also accompanied by sweet, summer-fruits lathered in sticky toffee sauce with a vanilla ‘cherry’ on top. 😉 A desert whisky for sure, at 63.6% ABV, its Heartwood at the top of their game, trying something completely different – More bourbon casks please Tim, what a winner!

Heartwood’s very first bourbon cask whisky didn’t even make it on to their virtual shelves, it sold out by word of mouth and reputation alone. Tim Duckett (owner and independent bottler of Heartwood), in all his infinite wisdom, gave us a very small consignment to sell to our loyal Heartwood fans.
Tim Duckett explains….
“Design or good luck. We have just created a whisky characterised by sweet bourbon bananas. It was allowed to syrup up and we lost around 12% in volume……
….. Bourbon cask (goes without saying). It’s extraordinary and is something completely different from our usual fare. You can add your own water. DO NOT BUY THIS WHISKY, if you do not like bourbon, vanilla, caramel, or bananas. Sherry-heads should not apply. You have been warned”.
