Dark FOMO is the fifth chapter in Hellyers Road’s cult Dark Harmony series, and the one that leans hardest into the chaos. Released to coincide with Tasmania’s gloriously unhinged Dark Mofo festival, this 8-year-old single malt embraces everything the series does best. Then it ventures somewhere darker, stranger, and impossible to ignore.

Where Opposites Collide
Dark Harmony has always lived in the space where opposites collide, light and shadow, malt and mayhem. Dark FOMO is Hellyers Road’s love letter to that tension, and this year it’s finally earned a seat at the feast.

Crafted in North West Tasmania
This release began its life in two first-fill American oak ex-bourbon casks, filled on 22 February 2018. After years of quiet maturation, the whisky was transferred into two American oak ex-bourbon casks freshly seasoned with Communion Brewing Co.’s rich Baltic Porter. This infused the spirit with deep roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee complexity.

A Rare, Small-Batch Marriage
The two casks were married together on 23 April 2026, with Marrying Cask 1 hand-selected and prepared for bottling to produce this rare, small-batch Tasmanian single malt.
