Official tasting notes.
Nose: Toasty butterscotch toffee and malt with notes of roasted almonds, Rich fruit cake and plum pudding.
Palate: Thick, oily, oaky with dried fruits and dark chocolate. The dram builds across the palate to a big, full and zesty peak.
Finish: Long, warm, comforting with clean dry and lingering spiciness. Takes a little water very well with more viscosity and marzipan notes developing as it rests in the glass.

Description
Here’s a hidden gem from the Tamar Valley Distillery located in Hillwood Tasmania on the banks of the Tamar River where Paul Herron, Master Distiller and his triplet sons, ply their trade, combining their skills to produce a whisky abundant in flavour and heart.
This hand signed whisky is non-chill-filtered and aged for a minimum of 2 years in a French oak, Port cask before been bottle directly from the barrel at 58.5% abv. Been a small batch distillery, only a limited number of bottles are yielded for each release making their whisky quite sort after. The whisky comes in a limited edition natural premium beechwood presentation box, handcrafted by Hillwood cooper and brother of the master distiller, Brendon Herron.
