We’re absolutely thrilled to have the Killara distillery join our Australian whisky arsenal.
This expression was aged in a 100L port cask that was decanted in September 2022, yielding 169 bottles. Sold out at the distillery, and at 47% ABV, it’s an approachable whisky that will appeal to both you seasoned aficionados and new-comers alike.
About Killara Distillery
The distillery was established in 2016 by Kristy Lark-Booth and is located at 32 Ogilvie Lane Richmond, about 30min from Hobart in Tasmania. It’s the first distillery to be owned and operated by a second-generation distiller. The name Killara is a nod to Kristy’s parents, Bill & Lyn Lark who started the modern-day whisky industry in Australia back in 1992. Killara is the name of the street where Kristy grew up where the first distillery was registered over 150 years after the last distillery in Hobart closed its doors.
