It’s Killara, in all her benevolent glory, bottled exclusively for Whisky Abbey 2024. We thank the whisky Gods that owner and distiller at Killara Distillery; Kristy Lark-Booth sent us a nice allocation for all our supporters who couldn’t make the Melbourne event.

KD30 was matured in a 100lt ex Tawny Port cask for just shy of 7 years then finished in an ex-Laphroaig cask for 3 months. A rare delight indeed!

About Killara Distillery
The distillery was established in 2016 by Kristy Lark-Booth and is located at 32 Ogilvie Lane Richmond, about 30min from Hobart in Tasmania. It’s the first distillery to be owned and operated by a second-generation distiller. The name Killara is a nod to Kristy’s parents, Bill & Lyn Lark who started the modern-day whisky industry in Australia back in 1992. Killara is the name of the street where Kristy grew up where the first distillery was registered over 150 years after the last distillery in Hobart closed its doors.
