Dried oranges coated in dark chocolate, hints of spice with a creamy texture you can chew on all afternoon; viscosity is a hallmark of Killara’s spirit. Great mouth coverage with a nice long finish.”

We’re absolutely thrilled to have the Killara distillery join our Australian whisky arsenal.
This cask is a real cracker, the spirit was laid to rest in a 100L tawny cask that was decanted in May 2022, yielding 110 bottles. The result is a viscosity gem jam packed with juicy flavour. This expression is also sold out at the distillery and has proven to be one hell of a popular pour!
About Killara Distillery
The distillery was established in 2016 by Kristy Lark-Booth and is located at 32 Ogilvie Lane Richmond, about 30min from Hobart in Tasmania. It’s the first distillery to be owned and operated by a second-generation distiller. The name Killara is a nod to Kristy’s parents, Bill & Lyn Lark who started the modern-day whisky industry in Australia back in 1992. Killara is the name of the street where Kristy grew up where the first distillery was registered over 150 years after the last distillery in Hobart closed its doors.
