This distillery release takes us further along the Killara journey.
The whisky was laid to rest for 5 quiet years in an old 100 litre ex-Port cask to slowly infuse the rich port flavours with the beautiful malt new-make that Kristy produces. The result is a nicely constructed whisky that drinks beyond its 40% ABV to deliver another delightful pour.

About Killara Distillery
The distillery was established in 2016 by Kristy Lark-Booth and is located at 32 Ogilvie Lane Richmond, about 30min from Hobart in Tasmania. It’s the first distillery to be owned and operated by a second-generation distiller. The name Killara is a nod to Kristy’s parents, Bill & Lyn Lark who started the modern-day whisky industry in Australia back in 1992. Killara is the name of the street where Kristy grew up where the first distillery was registered over 150 years after the last distillery in Hobart closed its doors.
