Description:
This limited-edition expression was laid to rest for just under 6 years in a South Australian, 100L ex-Shiraz cask that was decanted and bottled in September 2024, yielding 111 bottles. The shiraz slowly incorporates the rich fruit and floral characteristics with the malt spirit. The oak and Shiraz influences have added a little spice while remaining an approachable and easy-to-drink whisky at 43%.

About Killara Distillery
The distillery was established in 2016 by Kristy Lark-Booth and is located at 32 Ogilvie Lane Richmond, about 30min from Hobart in Tasmania. It’s the first distillery to be owned and operated by a second-generation distiller. The name Killara is a nod to Kristy’s parents, Bill & Lyn Lark who started the modern-day whisky industry in Australia back in 1992. Killara is the name of the street where Kristy grew up where the first distillery was registered over 150 years after the last distillery in Hobart closed its doors.
