This Killara release further extends the flavour journey of the distillery. Laid to rest in a 100L Muscat barrel, the whisky has two options depending on how you prefer to drink your whisky, 112 units bottled at 48%, and 46 units bottled at cask strength 61.4%. About Killara Distillery
The distillery was established in 2016 by Kristy Lark-Booth and is located at 32 Ogilvie Lane Richmond, about 30min from Hobart in Tasmania. It’s the first distillery to be owned and operated by a second-generation distiller. The name Killara is a nod to Kristy’s parents, Bill & Lyn Lark who started the modern-day whisky industry in Australia back in 1992. Killara is the name of the street where Kristy grew up where the first distillery was registered over 150 years after the last distillery in Hobart closed its doors.
