Description:
This whisky is a sister release to the ‘American Werewolf in Paris’ (sold out) and the other half of the 200-litre bourbon which was home to both for the first 18 months. Whereas the Werewolf went to a tawny cask, this L’Americain was moved to a French oak, 30 -year-old Fernando de Castilla Pedro Ximenez sherry barrel, re-coopered to 100 litres for 2 years before bottling. Bottled at cask strength of 61% to maintain the full flavour and luxuriant oiliness of the spirit.
