Tasting notes
Bill Lark had the following to say about The Providence.
NOSE: “This is one of those whiskies you can nose all day. A potpourri of herbs and spices to keep you guessing…… A delicious balanced sense of peat and alcohol with lingering notes of dark chocolate covered honeycomb giving way to the tell tale plum pudding notes of a veteran Lark.
TASTE: This has to be one of the best Lark whiskies to date. A tamed wild beast of a whisky, busting on to the palate with notes of sweet creamy fruit cake, then rolling across the tongue in a balance of luscious columbine flower, toffee and rich malt before the peat rides back over the top. It stays on the palate so long you could chew it.
FINISH: One big, warm hell of a whisky, so well balanced. The finish is long and soft and just keeps giving. I’m proud to put my name to this release. Well done Joe”.
