Description:
Here’s a one-of-a-kind, limited bottling from deep within the vaults of the Launceston Distillery at the historic Hanger 17 at Launceston Airport. It’s their first 100 litre single cask release (cask 1 and 2 were privately owned) ever filled making this Tawny cask their third 100 litre cask #003. Filled in June 2016 and after for years of slumber, it was bottled at natural cask strength with an out-turn of only 167 bottles.
The Distillery comments:
“…….. every now and again, a cask presents itself as being great, too great to be ignored and that is what we’re presenting today, our very first single cask, 5-year-old single malt from Launceston distillery. We have had other casks pass this 5-year mark too but our Distiller, Chris didn’t think they warranted being bottled as a single cask bottling. This one is truly unique and what we think is the perfect representation of Launceston Distillery Single malt of age”.
