Official tasting notes.
On the nose, this richly textured whiskey exhibits herbaceous aromas, notes of vanilla pastries, pepper and spice. The palate presents a simmering heat, sweet notes of butterscotch, shortbread and buttered corn, finishing boldly with a creamy mouthfeel. This is a bold drink designed for the end of a day, with the Australian outback in mind.

Description:
Thirty minutes north-east of Albany, at the Porongurup’s (one of the world’s oldest mountain ranges) is home to Tiger Snake Australian Whiskey owned by Limeburners/Great Southern Distillery who take inspiration from those great American Tennessee Whiskeys and Kentucky Bourbons. The distillery’s Tiger Snake whiskey (note the “e”) is also the first legal sour mash whiskey of its type in Australia.
Named after one of the most venomous snakes in the world, the Tiger Snake Cask Strength 9-year-old is hand distilled from a classic grain bill of corn, rye and malted barley, occasionally including the old hybrid grain of wheat and rye called ‘triticale’, all sourced entirely from the pristine fields of WA. Each barrel is hand bottled and numbered in keeping with the distillery’s small batch tradition.
Were excited to offer you this rare single cask release that has been aged for 9 years. A true rarity in the Australian spirits scene so get them while you still can.
