Bottling Notes

This eighth release was distilled from Loch’s County Ale malt profile and aged in first-fill, 50L ex-Apera (Australian Sherry) European oak barrels. Bottled at optimum drinking strength, pairs perfectly with a pint of County Ale. Non chill filtered with only minimal flocking carried out, there may be slight sediment or haze formed when the bottle is stored in cold conditions. This is completely natural and ensures maximum flavour!

Each release is unique – Craig and Mel hand mash all their own wash (in house) at Loch Distillery and then open ferment the mixture. They then distil their core drinking beer malt profiles into three distinct malt spirits using Alembic Pot Stills that add a heavy and oily body to the new-make spirit. Each malt spirit is then aged in different cask finishes, which ensures each batch of Loch Single Malt Whisky will be individual from the next.
