Bottling Notes

Now here’s an absolute unicorn of the Australian whisky landscape. The very first bottling from one of Australia’s finest southern-most distilleries, McHenry’s. This inaugural release was distilled on the 2nd of February 2011 and spent most of its life ageing in Barrel Number 1 which was a 100L Maker’s Mark, American oak cask before being finished in a 20-litre port French oak cask. It was bottle just over 5 years later on the 24th of April 2016 at 44%alc with a yield of 100 bottles.

This inaugural release has ‘collectors’ item’ written all over it and we were fortunate enough to secure a handful of bottles for your consideration.
