Here’s a belter of a whisky from the Old Kempton distillery that was released in November 2020 for Christmas. Coming in at a delightful 60% ABV, this is a banging whisky for the real connoisseur. Non-chill-filtered with no added colouring, the whisky is made using Tasmanian barley that’s double distilled through copper pot stills making for a real Aussie treat.

Nose: A vibrant honey nose of rich malty characters. Delightful hints of flowers in spring and Christmas cake, notes of fruit mince.

Palate: Sweet and creamy upfront, before filling your palate with bold exciting fruit tingle and spices. Shiraz cask notes of rum and raisins lead this whisky into a long and memorable finish. This whisky has so much to offer and takes water well to open up a luscious and balance whisky full of fruit minced tarts and marzipan icing.
