Our Tasting notes.
The OCD spirit is present front and forward on the nose before layers of black Forrest cake, home-made raspberry jelly and chocolate dipped pecans join the parade in a festival of youthful Sherry and subdued Oak. The palate brings orange peel and drying cocoa, picking up on the sweet Sherry notes from the nosing, leading to a medium finish of juicy dried fruits and white pepper.
Overall – this whisky is no Sherry bomb, but a delicate example of an elegant Australian Sherry cask that will grow on you, and reveal many more layers in time.
